Yoga Retreat Dalyan Turkey

All-inclusive yoga retreat Dalyan, Turkey 21st – 28th September 2024

Beauty of nature yoga retreat

21st–28th September 2024

We have found a dream villa surrounded by outstanding natural beauty. Located in Dalyan, where green and blue meet with probably the best views we have seen on our travels. Yes that is Simo in the image above, we hope to take you to this remote viewpoint during the retreat so you can take your own unforgettable Instagram shot!

As the name suggests during this retreat we will focus on the beauty of nature. Dalyan has so much to offer, so be prepared for many guided excursions and also free time for exploring on your own or with friends.

Pomegranate Garden Villa

Our all-inclusive Beauty of Nature Yoga Retreat Villa is located in one of Turkey’s most sought-after areas in Dalyan. With twelve bedrooms within three identical villas set in a 5000m² secluded pomegranate tree garden. We can help ourselves to the garden produce: pomegranate, lemons, figs, grapes, plums or whatever else is in season. We have an enormous outside terrace big enough for a large group, a restaurant sized BBQ, two stunning swimming pools and of course the famous warm Turkish hospitality.

In our opinion Dalyan is one of the most beautiful places in Turkey, with its virgin nature, immaculate sea and rich history. It’s located on the Southwest coast of Turkey on the Mediterranean Sea. Surrounded by mountains, so protected against wind, and has a typical Mediterranean climate boasting 300 days of sun a year.

Dalyan means “Fish trap” and until today it’s still a working fishing village. A lovely, small, riverside town, placed in between one of Turkey’s vastest and most beautiful water bodies Koycegiz Lake, and the iconic river delta which terminates in the beautiful and famous Itzuzu beach, otherwise known as turtle beach.

Easy access
Our villa is situated 15 minutes walk away from the town centre where you can find great restaurants with river views, charming bars and places to shop. The beach is also very close, only 10 minutes by taxi, or by public boat in just 35 minutes a beautiful scenic route passing through reeds and the famous delta, which was filmed in the movie “The African Queen”.

Dalyan is now a famous beauty spot and many people, like us, have fallen under its magical spell and keep returning. Its surrounding areas are major breeding and shelter habitat for the Caretta Caretta (loggerhead turtle). To protect them, the building of big hotels has been forbidden, resulting in the conservation of the natural beauty of the area.

See below seven incredible excursions included in the final booking price.

Candir Hill Viewpoint (Main picture)

An afternoon hike from Candir village to Candir Hill viewpoint with amazing views. A Panoramic Oasis with many picture opportunities. Perched atop Candir Hill, this hidden gem offers an enchanting view of the picturesque Dalyan lagoon and delta. The journey to this captivating view involves a a mild ascent on dirt road and a short climb with a breathtaking scene that encapsulates the essence of Dalyan.

Boat ride to Turtle Beach

Famously known as Turtle Beach, Iztuzu Beach is a long stretch of white sand that forms part of the river delta. A protected area as it is a major nesting ground for Caretta Caretta (loggerhead turtles). Because of this it was chosen the “Best Open Air Zone of Europe” significantly promoting Turkey’s reputation. We will reach it by boat passing through the delta.
Here is where you have the chance to see the turtle swimming free in their habitat.
After a walk to the other side of the beach we will visit the “Dekamer” or Sea Turtle Research & Rehabilitation Centre.
We will have a packed lunch at the beach and the afternoon is free-time for you to enjoy the beach and surroundings.
Lots of beautiful walks available in the surrounding area, or sun loungers/umbrellas and simple snack bars are available if your dream is just chilling.

Koycegiz lake, Sultaniye hot springs & mud baths

Boat trip down the river to see the second largest lake of the Aegean Region with its surface of 5500 hectares, Koycegiz lake.
Do you believe in the power of mud? If so, Sultaniye is where you come for what is otherwise known as the famous Dalyan hot springs and mud baths. Just about anyone who books a day trip to Dalyan will visit these thermal baths.
Legends say that even Cleopatra came here for a rejuvenating treat.

Kaunos ancient ruins & King tombs

Starting with a traditional breakfast in town and following with a 3km hike along a beautiful mostly flat country road to Kaunos ancient city.
At the end of September it should be quiet and we hope to experience calm, history and views of the Mediterranean beyond. This ancient town features an old port, an acropolis, Byzantine basilica, Roman baths and a big theatre which had a capacity of 5000 spectators!
On the way to Kaunos we will see the famous “Lycian Kings Tombs” carved in the surrounding hills.

Dalyan Town Centre

Afternoon cycling tour of the town and countryside with dinner at one of the restaurants (who doesn’t want to cycle will be guided on a walk to town only 15 minutes from the villa). Many riverside restaurants and bars offer views across the river to the magnificent Dalyan rock tombs. One of the highlights is catching the sunset sitting by the river. And usually street vendors are there selling fresh and delicious pomegranate juice.

Full day Gocek 12 island tour

An unforgettable experience. Gocek is located between Dalaman and Fethiye, just 40 minutes’ drive from Dalyan Centre. The 12 Islands of Gocek are a cluster of picturesque islands that offer a unique blend of wonderful nature where every stop will surprise you with a new shade of the sea from azure to blue-black. Like a mosaic of nature’s finest artwork. Blanketed with lush, green forests each with beautiful beaches that range from pebbly to sandy, perfect for a day of relaxation. Traditional lunch on board included.
We are hoping to get a private boat. If less than 9 people book we will upgrade the participant to a shared luxury boat.

Saturday market

If you love shopping at markets, a wander around the Dalyan Saturday market is a must. You will have the opportunity to buy and taste local produces offered by the locals. We will be visiting on departure day if you book a late flight (check suggested flights section). We will walk together after an early breakfast. Planned return to the villa is midday. Taxis for the airport will pick you up from the villa.

During your free-time feel free to walk to the town Centre or use one of the bicycles available at no extra cost. We are happy to help you book transport to the beach or beyond, either by boat or a taxi.

We are back to Turkey and one of the highlights of this beautiful country has always been the quality and taste of their dishes. Our meals will be inspired by Mediterranean cuisine focusing on bold flavours, bright colours, best quality and high nutrition.

Experiencing the authenticity of Turkish culture we will be serving an abundant Turkish breakfast (we believe to be the best in the world, with eggs 😉) a light and fresh lunch and a hot supper in the evening. September is a beautiful month when lots of local fruits and vegetables are at their best, so we promise very fresh and delightful recipes to be served.

All meals cooked at our villa will be vegetarian with an optional fish choice for the barbecue night. We can cater for any dietary restrictions. Just let us know at the moment of booking.

  • Will I need foreign currency?

Our retreats are all-inclusive, but you may want to bring some foreign currency in-case of an emergency or perhaps you want to buy presents, souvenirs, things for yourself and give tips.

Most larger stores should accept credit/debit card but smaller more local stores, or market stalls are likely to only take cash.

    Best way to change money

If you want foreign currency you can change before you leave your home country, or bring your local currency (pounds sterling/dollars/euros) and change locally while in your destination country.

    Changing money at the airport

Airports are usually expensive to change cash with bad exchange rates. You are likely to get a better deal either in your destination town/city or home country.

It can work out expensive to change cash with an ATM. There should be ATM's in the town but first check your bank does not charge a fee. The local ATM is also likely to charge a usage fee.
