ASMR Bhramari – Humming Bee Meditation (with Marla point activation)

ASMR Bhramari Pranayama is a powerful and deeply activating breath and sound practice that harnesses the healing power of vibration. Rooted in ancient yogic wisdom, this technique helps us tune into the natural frequencies that exist within and around us. Everything in existence vibrates, this practice gently guides you back to your source, to the HUM of life itself.

In this variation of Bhramari, we amplify the meditative effect by raising the arms and placing the fingers on specific mala points on the face to activate deeper into the subconscious. Stimulating subtle energy pathways (Nadis), and encouraging a more submersive mind-body connection. It’s especially effective when paired with headphones, as the immersive ASMR soundscape enhances the internal sensation of vibration and helps disconnect from external distractions.

How to Practice:

  1. Find a comfortable seat
Sit in a quiet space, either cross-legged or on a chair, with your spine upright and shoulders relaxed. Use a cushion or yoga block if needed for support.

  2. Mala point activation
Gently lift your arms and place each finger on a Mala point.
Index fingers on the outer rim of the eye sockets.
Middle fingers touching where the nose joins the cheeks.
Ring fingers on the top lip below the nostrils.
Little fingers on the bottom lip below the nostrils.
Press gently and equally with each finger.
The thumbs can help gently press the headphones to create a better seal and isolation from the outside.

  3. Close the eyes and take a deep breath in
Inhale slowly and fully through the nose.

  4. Exhale with a Hummm…
On your exhale, create a steady, low-pitched humming sound like the gentle buzz of a bee. Feel the vibration in your face, skull, chest, and Mala points of the face.

  5. Repeat 7–10 times
With each round, allow the vibration to deepen. Let it melt mental chatter and settle your nervous system.

This Bhramari is featured across our six ASMR meditations: Inner Child, Water, Universe, Nature, You, and Sleep—each one a portal into deep subconscious healing.
