On-demand yoga safety & info

Please use a yoga mat to ensure you do not slip. It’s advisable for you to wear suitable yoga kit with bare feet, no socks. Make sure you are comfortable when seated. If you do not have a yoga block, use cushions or even books, to raise up the hips. Ideally cross-legged or kneeling, legs stretched out straight is also fine.


By taking part in on-demand classes you take responsibility for the safety of your practice. Listen to your body and work to your level. Do not try anything you consider to be a challenge or dangerous. Nothing should hurt or be a struggle. A good tip is if you need to hold the breath or breathe very shallow, you are trying too hard. As many of us are practising in confined spaces please try to clear the area around you and above you for anything dangerous in case you were to lose balance or fall. eg. furniture with sharp corners, breakable items or ceiling lights.
