Join us live online

Weekly live online yoga group classes using Zoom, from wherever I am in the world. Live online yoga is taught, in real time, in the privacy of your home. Using your mobile, iPad, laptop or smart TV to access the class. If you want me to keep an eye on you just position your camera so I can see you clearly. If not feel free to keep your camera off. Yoga studios and gyms are great for a group experience but not everyone is happy to be squeezed into a room with other people. Maybe you are a beginner and feel everyone is better than you, or simply need some personal space. With online Yoga you can practise mindfully, at your own pace, without the fear of judgement, people glaring at you or someones extra loud Ujjay breath distracting you. If time is precious also save on the commute to the studio and back.

Using Zoom

When you join a class your microphone will be muted so all background noise is minimised during the class. If you need to speak with me you can unmute yourself, or give me a wave. Your video will be switched on when you join so I can keep an eye on your alignment and offer individual verbal adjustments where needed. To allow me to do this please adjust the camera on your device so I can see you when standing and laying on the mat. If you prefer privacy feel free to switch your camera off.

When in class

When joining a live online yoga class, use a yoga mat to ensure you do not slip. It’s advisable for you to wear suitable yoga kit with bare feet, no socks as they might be slippery. Make sure you are comfortable when seated. If you do not have a yoga block, use cushions or even books, to raise up the hips. Ideally cross-legged or kneeling, legs stretched out straight is also fine.

Safety

By taking part in a live online yoga class you take responsibility for the safety of your practice. Listen to your body and work to your level. Do not try anything you consider to be a challenge or dangerous. Nothing should hurt or be a struggle. A good tip is if you need to hold the breath or breathe very shallow, you are trying too hard. As many of us are practising in confined spaces please try to clear the area around you and above you for anything dangerous in case you were to lose balance or fall. eg. furniture with sharp corners, breakable items or ceiling lights.
