That’s an ASMR hat trick !!!
(The Guardian, The Daily Mail and now ASMR in the Telegraph)
Gymbox have put this class on their timetable and I have several ASMR Meditations available on-demand. Make sure you wear good quality headphones to get the full ASMR experience.
ASMR is triggered by sounds of whispering voices, tearing, crinkling, crunching and scalp massage, too name just a few. I didn’t realise it was a thing until recently when Gymbox approached me to create a class based around it. After lots of research, YouTube videos and podcasts, I felt ASMR could help me go beyond a standard meditation class. I have experienced ASMR all my life. From a young age, I have experience tingles down the back of my neck when at the barbers, the snipping of the scissors or clippers around my ears was somehow soothing and relaxing, almost meditative.
ASMR significantly reduces the heart rate, an average 3.14 beats per minute. It increases positive emotions including relaxation and feelings of social connection. Indeed, Gymbox isn’t targeting the extensive ASMR community, but rather “the people who are trying to use meditation apps and they’re not really getting it,” says course creator and yoga teacher, Paul Selvey. “If you go to this class, there’s a very strong likelihood that you’re going to find this place – that thoughtless place of pure peace, pure deep subconscious.”
I have many more Meditations available on my website. You can gain one week access to all of them for free, including over 600 yoga classes by using this code http://powerflowyoga.co.uk/checkout/?plan=40
